tis for English and Spanish
PWEASE i giveth upon you my appreciation
TY SE XIES

When people meet me
They always call me “childish” or say i “need to grow up”
But what if I didn’t want to?
What if, to me, it’s sc. a.ry?
Maybe I have my reasons for being who I am?

When people meet me
They ask things like “why are you like that?” or “cant u stop acting that way?”
So I ask “why?” and “do I have to have a reason to be myself?”
Some say “yes” some say “no” some “just because”
most say “that’s why you have no friends and you never will”

When people meet me
They will laugh
Some push and pull and touch me everywhere
“It’s a joke” “it’s a big kid thing” “you gonna c ry, baby?”
“Just grow up and you understand”

I want friends
I need friends
So I laugh too
They say “e w” and “what was that”
I push
They push more
I push back
They hi. t me and leave
Through the gut-wrenching pa in, I think
“WHY”

When he met me
He glared at those around me
He told them “back off, you je..r..ks,”
He told them “leave her alone”
When they were gone
He smiled and laughed
But not in a way anyone ever smiled and laughed at me before

This nameless boy
He took me by the hand and asked me
“Are you ok?” and “what is your name”
He did not push or pull or touch me anywhere
He merely smiled
And smiled some more
I never saw someone smile so much

When he met me
He said “wow, you’re so funny” and “wanna be friends?”
He said “you’re so sweet” and “I really like you”
He told me “you have an amazing personality” and “you have a young soul”
And best of all, “im so glad we met”

And for the first time in my life
I was happy and proud of who I was
Because of him
I am happy with who I am today

Read the excerpt from hemingway’s a farewell to arms. we parked the cars beyond the brickyard. the ovens and some deep holes had been equipped as dressing stations. there were three doctors that i knew. i talked with the major and learned that when it should start and our cars should be loaded we would drive them back along the screened road and up to the main road along the ridge where there would be a post and other cars to clear them. which best describes hemingway’s style of writing in the excerpt? straightforward and simple, while still relating a lot of information to the reader long-winded and offering far too much information to the reader overly complicated, making it difficult to interpret and understand the text effortless and uncomplicated, with little meaning for the reader to interpret
