A biography is written as an informational text about a person by another author. In contrast, an autobiography is an informational text that someone has written about themselves. Often a biography will be written in the third person, and an autobiography will be written in the first person. An autobiography will be more subjective than a biography because an autobiography can offer opinions and insights that you won't be able to find elsewhere. Both focus on a person, or the life of a person, but they are different based on who authored it.
