response to job
applications
In small groups, read through the
emails from applicants asking for
more details and discuss the career
in travel that is likely to suit each
candidate. Discuss the strengths
and weaknesses of each one and
the extent to which they fit the
requirements of the job.
Now choose one applicant
and compose a reply making
a recommendation. This could
be saying that they are suitable
for a particular job, or perhaps
suggesting that a travel career
is not for them. Write only a
single paragraph - and keep your
message concise and direct. You
will probably need to write in a
formal style.
