Everyone's talking about spring-crops coming up and little eggs in nests. living in the city, king shabazz hasn't seen any of these things, so naturally he doesn't believe a word people are saying! finally, he has heard enough of this talk and sets out with his friend, toni polito, to find spring. after venturing out farther than before, they come to a vacant lot which they discover isn't quite so vacant at all.
