Pulling middle school students' attention away from social media can be quite a difficult task. However, Ms. Underwood, our school librarian,
did just that in November with her Share-A-Book contest. The point of
the Share-A-Book contest was to divert students' attention away from
their cell phones and toward reading great books instead. In
November, over 300 students read books and then shared their reading
experience with a friend. No status updates were needed to make this
contest a huge success.
