Short story at me tell me what u think its not done yet but ya I was playing hide and seek when I saw red and blue flashing lights and then I saw the cop cars. My mom said to hide, so my sister and I both went to go hide, but my sister got caught by the cops. I ran and hid in a wooden toy box. It felt like I was in there for a long time so I decided to go out of the box because I thought the cops were gone but they weren't so they took me away. As the cops were walking to the cop car with me I saw my brother and he we holding onto a metal pole and the cop tried to pull him off but he did not let go for a while until he got tired and he just let go I couldn't stop crying as they put us up into the cop car. The cop car drove us to this foster care building and we sat in this room for a long time. It was small and all the walls were gray and the lights were very bright . As we waited in this room, which was almost like an interrogation room, I was very scared of what was going to happen next. As we waited I Kept hearing footsteps walking passed the door, but then the footsteps stopped at the door. The door finally opened, and someone came in and took us out of the room. I was really tired so I fell asleep and the next thing I knew me and my sister were in a car and the car was moving but I didn't know where it was going. Soon the car went to a stop we were at a house. A random lady opens the door of the car door and helps me out of the car and we walk into this big beautiful house. This lady showed us to this big room in the house and said this is me and my sister room

1. find at least 9 adjectives from this opening passage used to describe the setting of the story- "to build a fire" setting: day had broken cold and gray, exceedingly cold and gray, when the man turned aside from the main yukon trail and climbed the high earth-bank, where a dim and little-travelled trail led eastward through the fat spruce timberland. it was a steep bank, and he paused for breath at the top, excusing the act to himself by looking at his watch. it was nine o'clock. there was no sun nor hint of sun, through there was not a cloud in the sky. it was a clear day, and yet there seemed an intangible pall over the face of things, subtle gloom that made the day dark, and that was due to the absence of sun. this fact did not worry the man. he was used to the lack of sun. it had been days since he had seen the sun, and he knew that a few more days must pass before that cheerful orb, due south, would just peep above the sky-line and dip immediately from view.

Which excerpts from the war of the worldseffectively use setting to provide a contrast to the horror of the plot? (select all that apply.)the war of the worldshe remained standing at the edge of the pit that the thing had made for itself, staring at its strange appearance, astonished chiefly at its unusual shape and colour, and dimly perceiving even then some evidence of design in its arrival. the early morning was wonderfully still, and the sun, just clearing the pine trees towards weybridge, was already warm.they shouted consolation and promises, and went off back to the town again to get . one can imagine them, covered with sand, excited and disordered, running up the little street in the bright sunlight just as the shop folks were taking down their shutters and people were opening their bedroom windows.it was glaringly hot, not a cloud in the sky nor a breath of wind, and the only shadow was that of the few scattered pine trees. the burning heather had been extinguished, but the level ground towards ottershaw was blackened as far as one could see, and still giving off vertical streamers of smoke.an enormous hole had been made by the impact of the projectile, and the sand and gravel had been flung violently in every direction over the heath, forming heaps visible a mile and a half away. the heather was on fire eastward, and a thin blue smoke rose against the dawn.
