The media covers only what they want to cover and says what they want, so if they have an unpopular opinion or they want to make someone look bad, they'll make sure to let everyone know. Like how the media during Trump's term made him look as bad as possible. I don't support Trump but listening to what the news said made him seem like satan himself.

The media can also positively affect our culture, as social media pages can help get news out there and get people on board to help others. The black lives matter movement has had a lot of momentum because of how many people have seen things on social media sites.
