The Last Dog is a documentary about a man named Peter who is in his seventies. His dog has just died and he decides he will never own another dog in his lifetime. However, a friend takes him to view a litter of Saint Bernard puppies. He falls in love with one of them and names the puppy Hawthorn.

One conflict that Brock faces is whether or not to allow the scientists to perform tests on Brog. This is a difficult choice for Brock to make because in order to save Brog, he must leave the only life that he has ever known. However, he has come to love the dog, and cannot imagine allowing the scientists to kill him.

Then the scientist were worried that Brock might have rabies after when Brog bit Brock. So the scientist kicked out Brock and Brog outside of the dome.
