A common element of postmodern play is option A: Nothing much happens, in fact, the telling of the story is characterized by repetition and circularity and the characters seem to be stuck.

Postmodern plays arised in response against the modernist plays. These plays focused on individual understanding instead of underscore the universal truths. It encourages the audiences to appeal to their own understanding rather than accepting the pre-established norms of the world.
