Shepherd's care about the sheep they tend with. Shepherding is when the shepherd's tends his sheep and makes sure they have everything they need. Shepherd's move sheep from place to place in order for the sheep to get enough to eat.

Many sheep have a homing instinct, this paragraph from the article "SHEEP, Course: 6TH LANGUAGE ARTS (E) QTR 3 Unit: 2. READING FOR A PURPOSE Assignment: 7: Organizing Details" talks about the homing instinct. " When the herder turns the flock toward the valley, the homing instinct in the sheep is strong and causes the flock to follow the ewes that know the way home. This instinct also gives the sheep a great need to flock together, causing them to become one fluffy cloud".  

A lamb can walk and see from birth. Teeth will come out and soon break through their gums. Lambs can also chew and grass and hay when they are only a week old. A mother sheep knows her own lamb by its scent.

When an ewe's lamb has died, sometimes an orphaned lamb or a bum lamb may be givin to the ewe whose lamb has died. The herder will skin the dead lamb and place the pelt on the bum lamb or orphaned lamb for a couple of days until the mother or ewe adopts the orphaned or bum lamb.

What I learned about my subject as I wrote is that a lamb can walk and see from birth, they will soon grow their teeth and will be able to eat grass and hay in a week from birth.

Some new ideas that I have about my topic are that I can write about how shepherding  can be fun and exciting.

What other questions can I raise which might improve my report?:

Other questions that I can ask are the life-span of sheep and how long until a lamb reaches adult-hood. Some more question are that why do sheepherders do this and how many sheep are in a herd.
