Help asap pls. Both the short story “What Happened During the Ice Storm” by Jim Heynen and the poem “The Fight” by John Montague tell stories about the unpredictable nature of human impulse. How does each writer use pivotal words and phrases to develop this theme?

By advoacting imagery and figurative language within there work, Montague uses imagery, Heynen uses both figurative language and imagery.

Ex. Heyen: ‘Tree branches, glistened like glass. Then broke like glass’ (Smilie) “Some of them lifted their heads and turned them from side to side, but they were blindfolded with ice and didn’t flush.” (Metaphor)

Ex: Montague: ‘It was still breast warm

Where I curved in my hand

To count them, one by one

Into his cold palm, a kind

Of trophy or offering.’

‘When I saw him take
