A serial killer named Jacob Roberts works as a long-haul trucker. He travels from state to state dropping off deliveries and picking up victims. Hot on his trail is a young detective named George Spinetti who is eager to solve his first big case. Roberts becomes increasingly aware that Spinetti is onto him, and he begins to toy with him by leaving cryptic clues at the scenes of his crimes.
