The youngest person to ever read an inauguration poem, Ms. Gorman won over both the live and televised audience with her words that many felt captured the moment and importance of the transition of power from the 45th to the 46th president of the United States. Read the poem carefully. Then, in a well-written essay, analyze the rhetorical choices that Gorman makes to develop her argument that America can find hope within ourselves to overcome any difficulties that may have plagued us in the past, and soar to success in the future.
