On lesson is to "always keep fighting". They had suffered from depression and showed me that even though you are having a rough time it is important to not give up. Another lesson is that no matter who you are, or what you identify as, you are loved. And that you shouldn't be treated differently just because you don't meet society's standards or fit their usual.
