There was just one piece of chocolate cake left. She lifted the dome cover off of the platter and stared at the sweet confection with growing anticipation. Opening a drawer beneath the counter, Anju silently took a fork, sliced off a piece, and lifted the fork to her mouth. As the chocolate frosting melted in her mouth, Anju closed her eyes.
