Free points <3 There once was a girl
With harsh blue eyes
Although all around her
None heard her mental cries
They constantly used her
For their own self-gain
But little did they know
She knew how to inflict pain
There once was a girl
With sandy blonde hair
Her fake friends were false
She knew they didn’t care
They constantly used her
To climb the ladder of fame
But little did they know
She knew their wretched game

There once was a girl
Who hated all
Try to be her friend? Ha!
You’d be talking to a wall
She might’ve been accepting
Once upon a time
But fake kindness has hurt her
Her hate - justice for the crime

What is implied in this sentence from mark twain's "the £1,000,000 bank-note"? i was puzzled, and wanted to discuss the matter a little further, but they didn't; so i took my leave, feeling hurt and insulted to be made the butt of what was apparently some kind of a practical joke, and yet obliged to put up with it, not being in circumstances to resent affronts from rich and strong folk.
