How would readers be affected if this story were told with a third-person omniscient point of view?
She reddened and said, “Mac, I can carry a pack big as
yours any day." He laughed and pressed his knee against
the back of hers, so that her leg buckled. “Cut it out," she
said. She wanted to make an iceball and throw it at him,
but she knew that her father and Charlie were anxious to
get going, and she didn't want to displease them.
Mac slid under the gate, and they handed the packs over
to him. Then they slid under and began walking across
the field toward the same woods that ran all the way back
to her home, where even now her mother was probably
rising again to wash their breakfast dishes and make
herself a fresh pot of coffee. She is there, and we are
here: the thought satisfied Andy. There was no place she
would rather be.

O They would understand what Mac is thinking when
he buckles Andy's leg.
O They would hear the mother's thoughts, even
though she is not in the scene.
O They would understand Mac's thoughts instead of
Andy's thoughts.
O They would draw their own conclusion by reading
only actions and dialogue.

Take the following paragraph and write two separate paragraphs based on it. be sure to properly cite both parenthetically (don’t worry about a works cited) using this: (henderson). 1.) the first paragraph should contain a direct quote from the provided paragraph (the paragraph below). 2.) the second paragraph should contain a paraphrase of the provided information (the paragraph below). trees are in that they provide clean air. trees take in harmful gases from the air such as carbon dioxide, which is what people exhale from their lungs, and turn it into oxygen, which is what we inhale. they complete this process through photosynthesis, which requires carbon dioxide and then releases oxygen. without trees acting as nature's natural filter, the air would quickly become unbreathable to humans.
