The characters jem and scout go through a lot of things during the story for example when mrs.maudies house burns down that was very traumatic for scout because in the story it says “At the front door, we saw fire spewing from miss maudie’s dinningroom windows. as to confirm what was saw, the town fire siren wailed up the scale to a treble pitch and remained there, screaming” pg 92 chapter 8 this gave scout some trauma leading to her developing throughout the story.
