Gandhi's method of obtaining social justice is based on the concept of Ahimsa, or non-violence. Gandhi firmly believed peaceful resistance and protest was enough to bring change. He turned out to be right, and his philosophy greatly helped India conquer its independence from Britain. However, his non-violence does not mean himself and other protesters were not attacked with violence. Unfortunately, society still has a long way to go and a lot to learn from Gandhi.
