Someone please explain more to this I think it is related to the play, because Abigail and the other girls began to accuse many people so that they believe that many people are involved in witchcraft and cannot discover that it is really them.

Abigail really tries to get people to take their focus off of herself and onto others and she begins to accuse other people of witchcraft.  

Explanation:

She realizes that she could really get into some trouble and she is trying to protect herself.  Once she starts the flood of accusations, she cannot stop the hysteria an panic that starts.
