In western Ukraine and Germany there is a legend get your popcorn and soda as I'm about to tell you the story of the Christmas spider...

Once upon a time there lived a poor but hardworking widow and her children. One day, a pine cone fell from a tree right next to their house and it started to grow a small evergreen tree. The widow and her children were very excited to have a Christmas tree by winter! But come Christmas Eve the woman was too poor to buy decorations. The children and the woman went to bed deeply saddened by this. The very next morning when they woke up they saw that spiders have decorated the entire tree with spider webs. When the first rays of sunshine hit the tree they turned gold and silver. The children were delighted at their new Christmas tree. After that day, the family were never poor again. That is the story of the Christmas spider and I really did write all that out. The end. Merry Christmas every body!!
