Hello guys. im writing a body paragraph about sonnet 138 by Shakespeare and i need some help. this is what i wrote for my claim:
Shakespeare develops the theme of love at the start of the sonnet when he states, “When my love swears that she is made of truth / I do believe her, though I know she lies” (Shakespeare Lines 1-2)
my teacher commented on this saying this: "Give actual context of the quote - be specific instead of stating he is doing it what is going on when it is said."
i don't really understand what she means by this and what she wants me to fix. can someone explain what she means by this and how i can fix it? thank you
