I Need Help with this problem, The Renaissance was a period of tremendous achievements in the fields of art, politics, literature, and philosophy. It was a time of change that drew focus on independence and individual contributions of artists, thinkers, writers, and other figures to the European society. However, could the same be said for women during the Renaissance? Europe in the 1400s and 1500s expected women to have traditional gender roles: dutiful daughter, wife, and mother.

Consider the question:

Did women in Europe have a Renaissance? Did the Renaissance improve the lives of women or did it entrench women further into their traditional gender roles?

Write a five-paragraph opinion essay to argue in favor of or against the Renaissance improving women’s lives in Europe. Parts A, B, C, and D will help you draft your essay. Remember to keep your tone objective and formal. Also, make sure that you include accurate facts and details from the lessons and outside research in your answer.

Here are some sources to help you write your essay:

Women from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment
Women in Renaissance Florence
Gender Roles of Women in the Renaissance
Women in the Renaissance

You may also do your own online research to support your argument.

Part A: Write an introduction that clearly states your opinion on the topic.

Part B: Next, write three body paragraphs to support your argument. Your paragraphs must include facts from the lessons, the research links provided, or outside research.

Part C: In this subtask, you will write a conclusion for your essay. Your conclusion must summarize your essay’s main argument.

Part D: Create a Works Cited page for your essay. Make sure that you cite your sources in MLA format.

Thank you in advance

Read the excerpt from chapter 30 of the awakening. the golden shimmer of edna's satin gown spread in rich folds on either side of her. there was a soft fall of lace encircling her shoulders. it was the color of her skin, without the glow, the myriad living tints that one may sometimes discover in vibrant flesh. there was something in her attitude, in her whole appearance when she leaned her head against the high-backed chair and spread her arms, which suggested the regal woman, the one who rules, who looks on, who stands alone. what does this excerpt reveal about edna's character? edna is comfortable wearing rich fabrics such as lace and silk, and feels completely at ease at the dinner table. edna plays the role of the gracious hostess very well, but is actually isolated from her peers. edna has no patience for her guests, but rather treats them as a queen may treat her loyal subjects. edna's attitude is haughty, as required of a woman of her social stature living in new orleans.
