I read in yesterday's paper that the city is considering constructing a skate park on 13th Avenue. I am
strongly opposed to this potential development
The city should not spend thousands of dollars to build a public place that only a small part of the
population will frequent.
It is not fair for the citizens of this city to have their taxes increased for the benefit of a few individuals.
Additionally, the location of the proposed site is ill-advised. Constructing a skate park next to a middle
school is an open invitation for teenagers to skip classes.
It will also be an eyesore for tourists and visitors who are staying in the hotel district across the street.

The second sentence seems a bit more accurate. I don't feel like going into detail but if you need more evidence i'll edit it :)
