As I pull on my pale pink coat that mother insisted on, I listen for the bells. There they are again! I grab a box of cookies out of the pantry and stuff them in my worn-out backpack that I use for school every year. I quietly open the sliding door that leads to the backyard and slip out into the starry night. The snow from yesterday's storm is still piled up on our glass table. The moon shimmers in the far distance, providing me with enough light to see my path. I begin my trek to quench my curiousity of knowing what those jingle bells mean.
