Directions: Read the passage, and answer the question that follows. Every day, Tony trained prancing horses and lumbering elephants and practiced swinging on the high trapeze. Then, the circus owner suddenly announced that he had to close down the circus because it wasn’t profitable. Tony breathed a sigh of relief, but later he had a panicky feeling because the circus was all he knew. He wondered what else he could do and then he had an idea. What about the moving picture business? Maybe there was a place for him in that growing and exciting industry!
