HELP PLEASE Fans of D. L. Tanning's Glasburry Mystery series will surely be
disappointed by the film adaptation. The movie is loosely based on the
plot of the books, but it does a poor job of conveying the depth of the
characters. While the costumes and scenery are well done, the
dialogue falls flat. Those who are unfamiliar with the books might
enjoy the suspenseful revealing of clues, but they won't realize the rich
detail that's missing in this adaptation of the written version. Please do
yourself a favor and read the books instead of wasting 10 dollars on
the movie.
Which statement best describes the author's purpose?
O A. To explain how a series of books was adapted into a movie
B. To entertain readers with the suspenseful tale of a mystery
C. To inform readers about the differences between a movie and a
book series
D. To persuade readers to avoid a movie in favor of the books
