Canary / Hawk Vision keen and talons strong,
The mighty canary files along.
Struggling against the air conditioner's flow,
The streak of yellow feathers comes in low.
It seeks only grub on which to feed,
A crumb of bread, a bowl of seed.
Its sweet song flutters like a rattling plane engine,
As it rounds the corner into the kitchen.
The smoky gray tomcat poses no threat,
It has grown fat from cans like an ordinary pet.
The bird stops, admires itself in a mirror,
The hawk that looks back could not be clearer.

Question: What is the theme of the poem?

A How you view yourself can affect your attitude.
