I hate to say this, but my own aunt is a Karen.
I was 13 when this happened. My aunt had made a reservation at a hotel for a trip that me, my mom, my dad, her, and my cousin were going on, but when we got there the lady at the desk said there was some error with the reservation and that my auntsâs payment didnât go through. So, the lady offered us a double bedroom for a discount.
Rather than just taking the room, thanking the lady, and leaving, my aunt decided the best course of action would be to scream, in the middle of a hotel lobby, 'NOBODY IS GOING ANYWHERE TIL I GET MY FREAKING ROOM!'
She then proceeded to pester the lady, who clearly couldnât do anything about it, until eventually she called the police on my aunt for public disturbance. Mortifying.

Read the excerpt from hemingwayâs a farewell to arms. we parked the cars beyond the brickyard. the ovens and some deep holes had been equipped as dressing stations. there were three doctors that i knew. i talked with the major and learned that when it should start and our cars should be loaded we would drive them back along the screened road and up to the main road along the ridge where there would be a post and other cars to clear them. which best describes hemingwayâs style of writing in the excerpt? straightforward and simple, while still relating a lot of information to the reader long-winded and offering far too much information to the reader overly complicated, making it difficult to interpret and understand the text effortless and uncomplicated, with little meaning for the reader to interpret
