Think about what Teiresias tells Odysseus. He tells him about Poseidon wanting to get revenge on his son's death, not to touch any of the flock when he arrives to where Helios is, and finally that Odysseus will get home alone to find suitors that he will have to kill. 

All of these speak of themes of revenge and temptation, as well as spirituality with the Gods. Do these conflicts contrast the themes? Definitely not. It highlights the already building themes throughout the text.
