The Authors Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca wrote Relación in the year 1542, Alonso de Benavides wrote Memorials in the year from 1630–34 and Anthony Ganilh wrote Ambrosio de Letinez in the year 1838. The first English book which was solely about Texas was Texas (1833) written by Mary Austin Holley who was the cousin of Stephen F. Austin.
