If I had the courage, I would say something

If I knew them, I would intervene

But isn’t that my fellow

Human being? My brother and sister

With the same rights as me?

If I am a human being, I speak up

If I am human at all, I do not walk past them

I do not ignore, pretend it has nothing to do with me

It could be me, it once was me

It is all of us, as a society, beating
