Vidal grew up in the neighborhood of Flores, in the capital of Argentina. In that city he later began to study political science at the Argentine Catholic University. Later, she ventured into politics, leading women's groups in the city legislature and heading the Ministry of Social Development of Buenos Aires.

With the passage of time, she began to take preponderance in her political role, becoming governor of the Province of Buenos Aires between 2015 and 2019, being the first woman to achieve this position.
