How does an individual’s point of view affect the way they deal with conflict and adversity?

I think that down at the bottom of this, regarding point of view, is how the person takes responsibility for their part of the conflict. If your point of view is that you are right, you will often escalate the conflict. If your point of view is that you own some level of wrong as it regards the subject of the conflict you will possibly give some ground to resolve the conflict, unless you are a very prideful purpose and just cannot give ground. You will always reference your beliefs as it regards morals and norms as you engage in conflict.
