Write an essay instead of do a group discussion. You're going to write a one page report about a topic that has two opposing sides to it. For example, you could write about some of the things you've been learning about in your class, or about something in your life that you're passionate about. The topic doesn't really matter, but we want you to pick a topic, pick a side and then write about it.
