When Pi thought Rich Pryor had struck him in the face and was finally going to eat him, in paragraph 13, Pi says, "Go ahead Richard Pryor, finish me off. But please, what you must do, do it quickly." Then, when Pi examines
the flying-fish in his blanket, he notices that the fish is "gasping for air" and "pushing with
its wings against my hand." Pi also notices the "fish's suffering." Given these details from the text, describe how Piand the fish are alike. How could Pi be in
the same predicament as the fish, if he did not fight to survive? Also, explain why Pi truly feels guilty about trying to kill the fish, besides the fact that he is a
vegetarian. Include at least 3-5 complete sentences.
