This old house might once have been queen of the prairies. Imagine her splendor when she was first built, or think of her slow decay as the years have passed. What kind of family might have lived here? Would they have been farmers, ranchers, or immigrants trying to make a better life for themselves? What might make its home here now? What might have led to the old house's abandonment? (This is to help my 11 year old little brother in middle school, so don't get too fancy with it please.)
