In this discussion, you will discuss with other students using vocabulary while reading a difficult text, The Hobbit. Let's read Dakota's post.

Reading The Hobbit is not exactly like reading the modern novels I am used to reading. The words seem old-fashioned, and some sentences are confusing. I use the words I know to help me understand the words I don't know. Using context clues, I can usually figure out the new words and what Tolkien is trying to say.

Create one post that answers the following prompt.

The reading in The Hobbit can be challenging. Describe how you use vocabulary to help you understand the text.
