The ride to the hospital took forever. Every minute lasted an hour as I sat next to my patient and watched him struggle for air. Finally, we landed again on the roof of the hospital. Two nurses were waiting with a gurney. They took the patient from the stretcher and put him onto the gurney. The underlined words include
