The horror story “The Tell-Tale Heart” written By Edgar Allan Poe about a young man who kills an old man because the old man has blue eyes that annoy the young man. The young man always comes into the old man’s room around 12:00Am  and stares at the old man waiting for him to open his eyes so the young man can kill the old man. After the young man killed the old man the young man tore the old man's body parts and buried the old man's body underneath the floor. The police came into  the old man's house because they needed to inspect the house because there were people suspicious because the old man was missing. They checked the house and didn't find anything so they just sat down and  talked and the young man could still hear the old man's heart and then he went crazy and told the police officer that he killed him. That shows that the young man made himself go mad.

The young man in “ The Tell-Tale Heart” Made himself go crazy after he killed the old man because he kept saying that he can still hear the old man’s heart beating even though he was dead. The author states that “dissemble no more! I admit the deed! - tear up the planks, here,here!- It is the beating of the old man’s heart. Because the young man kept hearing the old man’s heart beating his brain forced him to admit that he killed the old man. This proves that the young man made himself go insane.
