What happened to Simon as the older boys were walking to find the beast and Simon was thinking about how it doesn't make any sense that a beast could not catch two little boys running down the mountain.

Simon suggests that the boys climb the mountain to find out if there really is a beast. The boys react with fear and even Piggy, who doesn't even believe in the beast, doesn't understand what good that will do. Simon Shen asks "What else is there to do?" This implies that the only way not to fear the beast is to face it. We then follow Simon up the mountain where he sees the brutal killing of the female pig.

At first Simon responds saying that he doesn't know whether the beast truly exist or is just a myth. But moments just a moment later he says 'but...', then the rest of the children started talking and everyone kept chattering until Ralph shouted "hear him out!'" Now that everyone was silenced Simon got a chance to continue speaker, he finished off what he said by saying "What i mean is maybe it's only us."

well on wonder it has different stories from each person and they can all share their thoughts and feeling each not just one. if there was one you would only get to see one persons thoughts and feelings. so do a story point on multiple of the main characters.
