For the Eighteenth Century Literature Poetry of the Pre-Romantics Assignment, choose an English poem from the 18th century that does not appear in this lesson and analyze how your chosen poem represents the Pre-Romantics by focusing on themes of nature and/or social justice. For example, if you chose "The Chimney Sweeper", you would use evidence from the poem to demonstrate how child labor, a social issue, was prominent in order to make ends meet. Make sure to include cited evidence (quotations from the poem) to support claims. Upload the assignment to the Assignments tab to the left.
