Fear is the feeling of dread about something or someone that is unpleasant and makes someone feel he's in danger.

Fear is not just restricted to fear of dogs, snakes, heights, closed spaces, etc. People are afraid of change. They have this fear of changing from an established pattern to a new one.

Fear hinders change because most people would rather keep doing what they know than entering into uncharted territory.

In some places, technology was looked at with disdain and people were not ready to let go of their primitive ways which hindered growth.
