Being a single mom has more than a few challenges. Especially when you're a single mom of twins. When I found out I was having twins, I denied it and denied it until one day, there was a bump. I had played off the morning sickness and normal symptoms as a simple cold as if that was any better. My boyfriend freaked when I told him I was pregnant and by the next morning, he was gone. I still told him when I was expecting though, and he showed up. Two years later and my girls are as beautiful and healthy as ever. I had to go to my parents for money though, so I could send the girls to daycare while I worked. But my parents were never people who liked to give out free favors, so I had to bring Georgia and Lily for lunch every Sunday. This lasted for 6 years, until I finally married an amazing man who, thankfully, had deep pockets. We divorced within the year, unfortunately. But I still got half everything he owned. I know it wasn't exactly the best way to go about things, but my girls deserved the best. Now, as they enter into high school, all three of us glide through life. I spend my nights curled up watching movies and talking to my closest confidante, who also happens to be the girls' father. The girls themselves are always going out with friends or boys, because they really are beautiful ladies. Their father comes to visit every other weekend so I never have to transport them anywhere, and he pays for all the activities they do. Life couldn't be better for me as a single mom of twin girls.
