There's no written law that best friends have to stay together forever and have to hang out ONLY with each other. It's ok for friends to meet new people, yeah it may hurt but that's how things happen. Also if you feel sad about, talk with your friend, tell them how you feel. If they get mad at you then that's when you know that she/he wasn't your real friend. A friend would do anything to help the person to feel better or would try to do something.
