Fredrick Douglas was against slavery and wanted to try to end it, or at least give most of the slave’s freedom, by crossing them over the Mason-Dixon line. Captain Cannot on the other hand was all for the idea of slavery, believing that there was nothing wrong with enslaving other humans just because they have darker skin. Both use amazing evidence and present their information very straight-forward. But my teacher said You've got a great start to your response. You shared the beliefs of each man, but you are missing specific evidence from the text to support your ideas. If you choose to add it in, resubmit for more points.
