Can someone turn this into a final draft, or check and tell me the revisions i need to make. Culture is defined as the shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs, and affective understanding that are learned through a process of socialization. These shared patterns identify the members of a culture group while also distinguishing those of another group. Damen L. Japanese behavior is very distinctive and well respected around the world. It is also majorly popular worldwide. Further research opened so many gateways for knowledge about the Japanese culture. Personally I grew up watching this culture and its theatrics and arts and enjoying them very much. In the japanese culture I will be focusing on symbols, food and clothing.

Symbols are mainly what japan is known for. Even people who don;t know much about japanese culture, can know these widely popular symbols. A symbol I find to be very popular worldwide is “Son Goku”. Most people say they remember him growing up, as he was always good spirited and goofy, while also teaching them a lesson about friendship. Son Goku is a fictional character that represents love and power through friendship, and has taught many kids to break past their limits.

Not to mention their food is also very popular, as there is a japanese restaurant in almost every city.

The unique look and taste is what makes it popular among many cultures. Such as: omu-rice(rice omelet),uni(sea urchin),curry pan(curry donut) and most popular, sushi. Japanese food is a huge staple in japanese culture and around the world. Food also links to popular symbols and religions. Learning about japanese food is a must and should be research.

Last but not least, Japanese clothing is intricate and has many meanings, as well as secrets. Passed down from generation to generation clothing has evolved. The passion put into japanese clothing is unmatched in most parts of the world. Mainly due to the nature of the japanese people. Their clothes can represent emotions, demons, angels, gods etc. This influence can be seen in their movies, shows and even live theatrical performances. Even though they are modern, these clothes and stories are not forgotten, which shows how impactful generational memories can be. The fact that they seldom let their ancestral heritage go forgotten is amazing.

To wrap it all up, culture is a tool to not only find out identities, but to hold onto what our ancestors founded.

It is always good to learn about a culture different than yours. Since you can apply it to the real world. If u dont take anything else away from this, at least take away the respect that the japanese have for elders, and their founders. I grew up not knowing much about this culture, but now that I do it has opened my eyes.
