Unless your class/teacher/professor said otherwise, I think that most teachers are going to want a thoughtful interpretation of something versus just a brief a simple response. A thoughtful interpretation is going to give the reader of your analysis a much greater understanding of your thoughts and opinion. But like I said, if your teacher specifically said something else then go with that.
