I need a memoir essay. Please

there are a few grammar issues so before submitting it go through it

Family Trama

    My dad worked like most while my mother stayed home because of the disease that she had, Multiple Sclerosis or MS. My dad worked as a salesman, and worked away from home. He left Tuesday morning drove to a number of places he went to either Kansas, or Oklahoma City the majority of the time and drove home on Friday. We lived in Tahlequah at the time so he would always be at least 3 ½ hours away from home when he was working.  

     This particular day started normally, I went to school while my sister Samantha stayed home with my mom because she had a cold. However when my class was lining up to go to lunch I had gotten called down to the office for dismissal. When I got into the car my oldest sister Olivia which I had not seen in almost two years, as well as Samantha were in the car as my mom got out to talk to one of the secretaries. My mom was in panic but no one would tell me what was happening, she drove us home and told us to pack two days worth of clothes, and the essentials. Then we got into the car and started a 3 ½ hour journey to Oklahoma City, on the way someone finally told me what was going on, my father was suffering a stroke and had been admitted to the emergency room February 17th 2017.

      My mother and father normally called at 6 A.M. every morning he was away, when he did not answer or call her it was out of the ordinary. This day he did not answer, she called the hotel and asked them to open his door and make sure he is okay but he had the “do not disturb” sign on his doorknob. A few hours later my mom called my father's son Josh who lived near that hotel, and asked him to call the fire department to open the door. When the fire department had the  door opened it was discovered he was having a stroke and had gone untreated for hours causing him to have severe damage to the brain.  

     When we arrived at the hospital and entered the room he was in we were allowed to say hello before they transferred him to the out of the emergency room and to a private room. When we entered the room he had tubes going down his throat for a number of things, a ventilator because the doctor had him in a medically induced coma, he had tubes in his arm giving him blood, and keeping him hydrated. When we had gotten to his private room the doctor then proceeded to tell us  that he would most likely not make it and even if he did that we would not have function of the whole left side of his body, would not be able to eat or drink on his own.  

       Me and my dad were extremely close, when you are little (At the time I was 7) your parents are your superheroes and you disregard every mistake they have ever made, being around them just makes you feel safe and happy. Knowing that he was most likely not going to make it through the night, my Olivia told me I needed to say goodbye to him. I remember kicking and streaming refusing to get out of the car thinking that if I didn't say goodbye to him out of courtesy towards me he could not die. After this my face was of course red from crying the nurse said that I looked like a pumpkin and asked why I was so upset, the one thing I thought at the time was “Isnt that such a stupid thing to ask in a hospital full of sick people?” After this we drove home and my mom stayed at the hospital while Olivia 17 at the time took care of us, when my mom came back she told us that she had him transferred to hospice and was taken off the ventilator to die about a week later on February 26th 2017.
