Read the passage, and answer the question that follows. Voting for the Academy Awards. Have you ever wondered how the winners of the Academy Awards are selected? Did you know that the selection process actually starts months before the presentation of the awards in late February? First, in January, nomination ballots are sent to members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. For most award categories, five nomination are allowed. The Academy's philosophy is that only people who work in a particular part of the motion picture industry are qualified to make nominations for an award that relates to that part of the industry. So, for example, only directors can nominate their fellow directors. The Academy believes that people in the same field can make better decisions about who is best qualified for an award. Next, members return their secret nomination ballots. Protecting the secrecy of the members' ballots is an important rule behind the selection process. Then, a company called PricewaterhouseCoopers determines the nomination results. Shortly after that, at the end of January, the nomination results are announced. Early in February, final ballots are mailed to members of the Academy. Then, members vote and return their ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers. Next, the company determines the final results, but they are kept a strict secret. Finally, the winners are revealed when their names are read from the famous envelopes opened at the Awards presentation in late February. the tense anticipation about who the winners are is over at last! Read this excerpt from wheels of change by sue macy.that said, it's hard to grasp the full extent of the bicycle's impact on americans in the late 19th century—particularly female americans. imagine a population imprisoned by their very clothing; the stiff corsets, heavy skirts, and voluminous petticoats that made it difficult to take a deep breath, let alone exercise. add to that the laws and social conventions that cemented a man's place as head of the household and holder of the purse strings. how suffocated women must have felt. and how liberated they must have been as they pedaled their wheels toward new horizons.what is the central idea of the excerpt

Biologists recognize five levels of cell organization. the lowest and simplest is the cellular level. organisms here are either unicellular organisms, like protozoa, or colonial organisms. colonial organisms are composed of single-celled individuals that stay together to sustain the life of the whole colony. next on the scale of complexity is the level occupied by tissue. a tissue is a group of similar cells which perform a similar activity. tissues that are organized around a common function together make up an organ, the third level of complexity. the fourth level of organization is the system, formed by a group of organs which together perform a specific bodily process. the fifth and highest level is the organism level, in which body systems work together in a structure capable of independent life. main idea:
